ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
In 2012, I photographed Thåström at Cirkus in Stockholm—an evening that was also recorded and later became the live album Som jordgubbarna smakade. Several of my photographs were used for the cover and the booklet. I still remember how happy I was when the record was released—I’d been given the chance to shoot the cover for one of my childhood idols.
This was the second time I photographed Thåström. The first was the year before at Way Out West, where I documented him live. He liked those images, and that led to me being trusted with creating the visual material for the live release from Cirkus. Since then, I’ve photographed him on many occasions—both live and for press.
In TjugiTolv, I present a selection of the photographs that became part of the release, alongside previously unpublished images. Same night, same intensity—but with more frames from the same story.
This exhibition is online only and available for a limited time: 5 March–27 April.
